Job Description
What You Will Do:
- Provide leadership in the areas of Common Core State Standards for English Language arts, (Birth/Pre K-12), curriculum, content, instruction and assessment through various professional learning experiences and on-site technical assistance
- Assist LEA’s in the implementation of various school improvement research-based strategies in the area of English Language Arts
- Develop and/or maintain, and/or disseminate materials and resources relative to English Language Arts
- Participate with the General Education department to support English Language Arts and other research based initiatives
- Design and implement professional learning opportunities and provide consultant services to the local school districts
- Act as a liaison between state agencies and LEA’s
- Assist with MTSS activities
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Other duties as assigned
Need To Have
- Master’s Degree related to English Language Arts or curriculum design required
- Valid Michigan teaching certificate
- Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience in English Language Arts
