Berry Building Group is seeking experienced and qualified commercial construction superintendent.
Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee the daily operation of all subcontractors in order to achieve a successful and safe completion of projects.
- Work in partnership with project manager to identify and address issues of constructability or lack of scope during pre-construction phase.
- Participate in development and final review of scope, buy-out and schedule.
- Develop comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, inspections.
- Oversee all daily field operations to ensure proper site safety, construction, progress, quality control and a clean site.
- Work in partnership with PM to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule that reflects the changes in project status and that meets the cost and time requirements of the project.
- Exceed client expectations for each project by understanding client needs, wants, preferences, and culture.
- Demonstrate and maintain effective and open dialogue with the project team regarding changes in work, job conditions, subcontractor relations and any deviation in the direction of the project.
- Promote positive subcontractor relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors always instilling this philosophy in project team.
- Maintain and review punch list process to ensure all are addressed and executed in a timely manner.
- Mobilize to site at receipt of assignments and perform Site Establishment which includes: Coordinate schedules, staging areas, parking, and entrance/exit points.
- Establish a daily Check In / Check Out process with local management.
- Manage daily activities while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Maintain a high-quality product and finish ahead of contractual schedules.
- Inspection of Contractor or Subcontractor operations to ensure compliance with contract. Keep up with quantities, review and approve Subcontractor Payment Applications with Project Manager
- Prepare and Submit all project related paperwork at the required time of submission.
- Perform regular pre-punch walks with subcontractors.
- Provide direction to subcontractors on actions needed to complete the scope of work.
- Perform regular quality checks of ongoing production.
- Provide corrective direction to subcontractors when needed.
- Monitor job costs, including labor time and material
- Ensure Craft Superintendents and Foreman follow work plans that has been established for task and meeting production rates.
- Prepare and submit Superintendent’s Daily Reports.
Qualifications
- 5 Years of commercial construction experience
- Ability to read and understand plans, specifications and scopes of work is required.
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines.
- Extensive knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Proficient with computer technology and appropriate softwares
- Strong leadership qualities
- Strong negotiation skills

Pay: $85,517.00 - $92,550.00 per year
