JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Berry College Elementary and Middle School invites applications for an Admissions Director. As a full-time, 10-month employee, the Admissions Director leads Berry College Elementary and Middle School's admissions, recruitment, parent and community relationships, retention, and market analysis initiatives. The Admissions Director works to obtain contributions through the Georgia GOAL Scholarship program and other funding sources to support tuition assistance programs at BCEMS. In addition, the Admissions Director provides support and marketing for BCEMS by promoting the achievements of faculty, staff, and students through photography, media relations, social media, and the school's website.
A master teacher leads each class with supervised college-student classroom assistants. BCEMS provides its students, Berry College, and the community with a model of a safe, child-centered learning environment in which students fully develop their potential through a curriculum designed to magnify the education of the head, heart, and hands. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Georgia Accrediting Commission accredit the school. It is a member of the International Association of Laboratory Schools and the Georgia Independent School Association.
Berry College students majoring in one of its Teacher Education programs have the unique opportunity to work, to observe, and to teach under the guidance of BCEMS teachers. Students complete assignments at BCEMS throughout their Teacher Education program and have opportunities to observe and receive feedback from supervising teachers and college professors while applying and practicing new and innovative teaching and instructional methods
REQUIREMENTS:
Preferred Qualifications: A master's degree, preferably in a field related to education, at least 5 years of experience in admissions or a related area, and the required minimum qualifications above.
Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor's degree, preferably in a field related to education, and three years of experience in admissions or a related area. Applicants should also have the minimum qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of the goals and objectives of the laboratory school model and Berry College's overall mission.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Excellent public speaking skills and ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of constituents.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
- Excellent planning, organization, and time-management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience with content creation and knowledge of social media platforms.
- Knowledge of basic marketing principles and their application to social media.
