Responsibilities
- Functions as a business partner, providing guidance and counsel in areas of coaching and performance. Builds strong business relationships with the functional leaders.
- Works effectively with functional leaders to ensure understanding of current and future workforce needs and implement improvements to staffing processes including sourcing and selection.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring and onboarding employees; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Utilizes metrics to analyze information and evaluate results to problem solve and develop improvement initiatives.
- Builds and maintains effective working relationships to provide advice and counsel on employment and organizational matters.
- Works effectively with Human Resources organization on various HR initiatives.
- Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department.
- Maintains updates and ensures accuracy of information in HRIS.
- Completes special projects as established by clarifying project objective, setting timetables and developing and organizing information and fulfilling transactions.
- Authority to execute disciplinary action, including termination.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of demonstrated HR experience.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
- Proficient computer skills required, including experience with MS Office Suite software and knowledge of HRIS software.
- Highly effective interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Demonstrated problem solving skills along with strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to meet deadlines, work independently and exercise good judgement
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must possess ability to maintain confidentiality and establish credibility as a trusted HR professional.
- Knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Must be able to adjust work schedule to accommodate all shifts.
