Electromechanical Systems Specialist

At Berry Global, we're seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Systems Specialist to join our team in Waynesboro, VA. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in supporting the design, programming, assembly, installation, and maintenance of automation projects.

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role:

• You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and troubleshooting.
• With a strong background in Siemens automation and mechanical hands-on experience, you will be responsible for performing daily walks-throughs, checking production schedules, and utilizing JDE systems for scheduled PM's.
• You will also perform preventative maintenance duties on electronic equipment, repair automation equipment including robots, and maintain high levels of housekeeping in your work area.
• In addition to these responsibilities, you will perform job requirements in a safe and professional manner, and complete other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Technical Manager.

Requirements:

• A two-year degree in automation, manufacturing, or proven hands-on control experience is required.
• Proven experience in PLC logic, programming, and development of HMIs is essential.
• Knowledge of setup and communications of Seamans AC/DC drives is preferred, along with good mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new technologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong organizational skills with the ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously, are necessary.
