· Customer Service Skills:
o Provide customer service by greeting and assisting customers and responding to customer inquiries and complaints.
o Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
o Answer phones and direct calls.
· Sales Skills:
o Maintain knowledge about the different types of produce and their preparation.
o Responsible for promoting and locating products that meet the customer’s needs.
o Provide guidance on choosing ripe and in-season produce.
o Handles cash register transactions with speed and accuracy.
o Engagement with customers is balanced between friendly and efficient.
· Organizational Skills:
o Responsible for keeping the department organized and stocking shelves.
o Ensure products are properly stocked, rotated, and labeled.
o Water produce to keep it fresh.
o Maintaining and consolidating backstock in accordance with standard procedures.
o Maintain a clean and organized environment, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and scheduled deep cleanings. Clean and sanitize equipment, such as sinks and cutting tools.
o Monitor the condition of produce, removing items that are overripe or damaged. Process according to department standards.
o Assist with inventory counts.
· Receiving:
o Able to take the lead with receiving and unloading deliveries.
o Receive inventory, including checking for quality and ensuring that all products are properly stored and rotated. Invoice is properly noted.
o Prepare merchandise for purchase. Ticket, arrange, and display merchandise to promote sales.
o Process cardboard with the baler.
· Security:
o Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts and know how to report these situations.
· Leadership:
o Encourage crew members to stay on task with prompting questions.
o Demonstrate and remind others of policy and procedure.
o Be a primary trainer for new crew members: organizing, stocking, cleaning.
o Maintain positive aspects of our company culture.

· PIC 1:
o Monitor calls for assistance over the radio and ensure a rapid response occurs.
o Perform Service 1: safe combination, double count and log change transactions, register procedure for safe drops and doing the safe drop, night drop.
o Access remotely purchased gift cards for pick-up.
o Remind customers of basic policy as needed: non-smoking property, shoes needed to shop.
o Take and log call-outs appropriately, communicate the call out to the Department Manager.
o Gentle delegation to help develop the skill and recognition of the crew.
o Be a back-up to difficult conversations with customers.
· Teamwork:
o Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Recognizing the interconnectedness between shifts and how one sets the other up for success.
o Perform other tasks as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 - $22.50 per hour
