Overview

Berryville Auto Parts is a family-owned business with a focus on total car care. In addition to being an independent Carquest Auto Parts retail store, we have a full-service automotive repair shop.
Duties
- Engage with customers to understand their automotive needs and provide tailored solutions
- Assist customers in selecting the right products and services for their vehicles
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the store's automotive products and services to effectively communicate with customers
- Identify auto parts using parts lookup Carquest catalog
- Locate auto parts from in-store inventory or special order from Advance Auto/Carquest network or external suppliers
- Manage special parts order process including receiving and returns
- Provide DIY services including simple battery testing, wiper installs, etc.
- Schedule and confirm appointments for auto services and repairs
- In-take cars for appointments and monitor service progress
- Provide support to Service Manager with developing estimates for auto services/repairs, verifying estimates with techs, and interacting with customers for approval
- Pull parts for scheduled shop jobs
- Perform stocking processes including truck put away, cycle counts, back stock, etc.
- Help maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, customer lounge, and empty trash/recycling
- Foster strong relationships with customers by delivering outstanding customer service throughout the process
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of relative experience in automotive parts, service & repair industry; pay commensurate with experience
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work rotating SATURDAYS (8am-noon)
- Ability to meet physical demands including frequent lifting/moving up to 50lbs (e.g., rotors, batteries, fluids)
- A professional personal appearance
- Ability to learn our internal software applications including Tekmetric Shop Management System
- Experience in cash handling and point-of-sale systems
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate and assist customers
- Experienced success with multi-tasking with an attention to detail
