Bookkeeper

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles, with experience in managing accounts receivable, preparing journal entries, and performing bank reconciliations. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Duties

• Maintain accurate financial records by recording day-to-day transactions and completing the posting process.
• Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.
• Prepare journal entries and ensure proper documentation for all financial transactions.
• Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between bank statements and company records.
• Assist in the preparation of tax documents and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.

Skills

• Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage, is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles.
• Knowledge of financial concepts, including tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Experience with journal entries and account analysis.
• Ability to manage accounts receivable effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and discrepancies in financial data.
