What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Coordinator position at Bertram House of Swampscott?
The Maintenance Coordinator reports to the Executive Director, and is responsible for performing maintenance duties in the community and around the community grounds as assigned.
Requirements:
- A general , plumbing, electrical, mechanical and code compliance;
- One (1) year maintenance experience preferred; Experience in Assisted Living, senior housing, or nursing homes would be a plus!
- Ability to handle multiple priorities;
- Good written and verbal skills for effective communication;
- Competent in organizational and time management skills;
- Demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills;
- Ability to respond to emergency calls outside of scheduled work hours.
The Maintenance Coordinator position is anticipated to be a 40 hour per week position. Will provide on-call coverage after hours. Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion of tasks related to HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Supervise maintenance staff, providing guidance and support in troubleshooting mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to prioritize maintenance requests and enhance operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventive measures.

Pay: $65,000.00 per year
