Laboratory Supervisor, Springville NY

Full Time. Days. 7:30AM – 3:30PM

Compensation: $75,000-89,000 per experience.

As our Lab Supervisor you will supervise and coordinate daily operational activities of the Laboratory Department and ensure all federal and state regulations are within compliance, making changes in non-compliant areas as needed. Does related work as required.

Directly supervise associates in the Laboratory Department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Knowledge of 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East (SEIU) and New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA) contracts and Bertrand Chaffee Hospital and Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home Handbook.

Requires:

Bachelors degree (B.S.) in Medical Technology from four-year college or university and six (6) years related work experience and/or training; OR Bachelors degree (B.S.) in Biology from four-year college or university and one (1) year experience in that area plus six (6) years Medical Technology experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Current University of New York Education Department “Clinical Laboratory Technologist” Registration/License certificate.
