Job Overview:
Supplier Quality Engineer, 6 month project
Location: Southeast US locations
We are seeking a project Quality Engineer to travel in the southeast part of the US to locations for plastic injection molding (PIM) inspections and evaluations, conducting risk assessments.
Responsibilities
- Travel to assigned manufacturing site locations and conduct risk assessment on all injection molds
- Length of time spent at each manufacturing facility may vary
- 80-90% travel (USA only)
- Tool/mold inspections, evaluations, risk assessments, quality documentation, reporting
- Physical inspection of all molds at suppliers
- Taking pictures and verifying asset tags
- Drafing and implementing contracts
Qualifications
- Expert or advanced knowledge of plastic injectiion molds for automotive components
- Professional experience as a Quality Engineer or Supplier Quality Engineer in a plastic injection molding (PIM) environment.
- Must be able to work autonomously
- Project management skills
- Basic tool knowledge to coordinate tool movement, opening and gathering information.
