What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vehicle Test Driver position at Bertrandt?
Overview
The Test Driver, under the direction of Lead Driver/Facility Coordinator performs various driving test on new vehicle not out in the public market.
Responsibilities
- Drive assigned routes in accordance with all established procedures.
- Perform multiple levels of vehicle testing.
- Prepare accurate Drivers Reports and data downloads on a daily basis.
- Able to prepare detailed reports on a tablet and in writing.
- Able to use customer’s Smartphone to access vehicle features.
- Perform other related driving / vehicle preparation work as required.
- Follow policies and procedures of both Bertrandt and customer.
- Contribute to a positive work environment and promote overall team effort.
- Focus on meeting and exceeding Bertrandt and customer expectations.
- Responsibilities involve a definitive degree of skill, accuracy and cooperation.
- Possess a thorough understanding of Bertrandt and customer policies and procedures and Bertrandt’s Vision and Values.
- Ability to complete concise and accurate documentation.
- Promote safety awareness and assure compliance with all safety practices.
- Communication skills, verbal and written, are a priority.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Four (4) years licensed driving experience.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must possess clean driving record and current valid CA driver’s license with no more than one violation in the past three years.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of smartphones required.
- Knowledge of vehicle components, systems, and operating procedures are a plus.
- Must be knowledgeable of new vehicle features.
