What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intermediate Urban Designer and Planners position at Bespoke Careers?
Seeking a talented Urban Designer and Planner with a minimum of five years of professional experience. The successful applicant is a self-motivated and collaborative urban designer, planner or landscape architect who is passionate about climate action and sustainability with strong technical aptitude for learning new tools and techniques.
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
- Experience working on large-scale urban master plans in Asia and/or the Middle East.
- Familiarity with applicable NY zoning, building code and ULURP
- Strong experience in zoning analysis, programming, diagramming and other pre-design aspects of projects.
- Work on spatial design concepts for coastal resiliency, transportation, logistics, public open space, and architecture projects
- Work with senior team members to develop design alternatives, visual representations, and detailed documentation.
- Professional experience working on renderings and other client-facing visualizations.
- A passion for placemaking, walkability, sustainability, resilience, and innovation in urban design and planning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent graphic presentation skills for 2d and 3d presentations.
- Experience with the production of planning reports and documents and a thorough knowledge and familiarity industry platforms.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Professional degree in Urban Design, Landscape architecture or a related field.
- 5 years of professional experience in architecture, landscape architecture, and direct experience in management and support of urban design/planning projects: Masterplans, Campus planning, c or Urban/City Planning.
- Experience with ArcGIS, Mapping, Grasshopper and Rhino. Revit is a plus!
Salary : $90,000 - $125,000
