Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their service needs.
- Provide detailed explanations of recommended services and repairs based on customer concerns and vehicle diagnostics.
- Utilize automotive knowledge to assist customers with inquiries related to vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Accurately document customer requests and service history in the system.
- Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of services.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently.
- Promote additional services through upselling techniques while maintaining a focus on customer needs.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any further questions or concerns.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer service role within the automotive industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including mechanics, air brakes, and diagnostics.
- Experience in cash handling and processing payments accurately.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Ability to effectively upsell services while maintaining integrity and trust with customers.
- Familiarity with auto estimating processes is a plus.
- A background in automotive sales or as a service technician is advantageous.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
