What are the responsibilities and job description for the Car Electronics Installer position at Best Buy?
As a Car Electronics Installer, you will utilize your technical expertise to install new technology into customers' vehicles. Your responsibilities will include following established procedures for recommending, troubleshooting and installing mobile electronics specific to each vehicle. You will also share automotive technology advice, best practices and recommendations with clients and other employees. This role is internally known as an Autotech Agent.
Key Responsibilities
- Install standard mobile electronic solutions including T-harness remote starts, speakers, dash cameras, backup cameras, amplifiers and in-dash units.
- Verify vehicle make and model and communicate any compatibility concerns prior to installation.
- Use provided guides to identify compatible mobile electronic products and complete installation projects.
- Provide a high level of customer service.
- Acquire and maintain required certifications.
Requirements:
- Current, valid driver's license.
- Have and maintain a driving record that meets Best Buy's safety standards (e.g. minimal number of violations/accidents).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience installing car electronics.
- Prior retail experience.
