As the Head of Agency Partnerships for the East Coast, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth through leadership, strategic vision and establishing and nurturing agency partnerships. This role is responsible for new and ongoing relationships specific to agencies, their holding companies, and the brands they serve – both endemic CE and non-endemic. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in advertising sales and leading teams, a deep understanding of the media landscape, and the ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with partners.

This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at a new Best Buy Ads office in Midtown Manhattan and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process. Please note that the exact office location has not yet been determined. It is expected to open sometime in early 2025.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead business development strategies to drive new demand through agency and holding company relationships for Best Buy Ads.
  • Lead a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure individual and team success.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with account-specific teams, as well as senior investment and commerce executives at agencies and brand marketing teams.
  • Provide guidance to financial forecasting and budget planning.
  • Develop and negotiate agency T&C’s and MSAs, in coordination with Procurement and Legal departments.
  • Where appropriate, lead RFP process, and manage contract negotiation and oversight.
  • Work collaboratively across all levels of the Best Buy, both within the corporate environment and retail teams. Specifically partnering with Partner and Category Marketing to understand the retail category strategy.
  • Act as key marketing voice and be comfortable with public speaking and providing a clear perspective on BBY Ads and our strategic vision.
  • Sell strategic marketing programs: establish, direct, and implement strategic oversight and management for client proposals.
  • Solicit client feedback to understand how to drive a continuous cycle of learning and improvement.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Live in Midtown Manhattan or within a commutable distance to Midtown Manhattan
  • 10 years of experience in media and/or advertising sales.
  • 5 years of experience leading and developing teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Retail Media experience
