About the Role
As a skilled Home Appliance Repair Specialist at Best Buy, you will be responsible for traveling to customers' homes to diagnose, disassemble, and repair large products. Your primary goal will be to provide exceptional services that exceed customer expectations while ensuring orders are completed in a manner that maximizes profitability.
Your Responsibilities
- Prepare customers' products for repair in the home by assessing the situation and determining the best course of action.
- Manage routes, part orders, and returns to avoid excessive costs and losses by prioritizing tasks and optimizing workflows.
- Perform triage, manage client expectations, keep work orders up-to-date, and close orders in an accurate and timely manner by maintaining effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Offer alternative solutions when customers choose not to continue with their repair by empathetically understanding their concerns and providing tailored alternatives.
- Manage inventory and vehicle maintenance in partnership with other team members by collaborating on logistics and coordinating efforts to maintain optimal operational efficiency.
- Provide feedback and training opportunities to your team by sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance overall performance and growth.
Requirements
- Experience actively using and learning about home theater and appliance products.
- 6 months of experience delivering, installing, or repairing consumer electronic products.
- 1 year of experience in a customer service or in-home services environment.
- 1 year of experience in an electronics industry.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
- Current, valid driver's license.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Have and maintain a driving record which meets Best Buy safety standards.
- Acquire and maintain any state or local licensing, as required, within 90 days of hire.
- Able to lift 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation and up to 150 pounds with help.
