What are the responsibilities and job description for the Law Clerk Intern position at Best Buy?
Job Description
As a Law Clerk Intern, you will have the opportunity to rotate between a variety of legal practice areas, garnering a large breadth of experience within Best Buy's legal teams. These areas include contracts, real estate, litigation, eDiscovery, IP, corporate, and privacy. In addition, you'll participate in a summer series that includes our executive speaker events, Excel and PowerPoint workshops, and personal and professional development sessions.
This internship runs from June to August 2025. It's a hybrid role, meaning you must be located within a drivable distance to our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You'll be asked to come into the office 3 days per week. This internship does not have the potential to lead to a full-time opportunity. Housing and relocation will not be provided.
What you'll do
- Review contracts and participate in negotiations; review contracts to answer questions from Best Buy business teams
- Perform legal research relevant to ongoing projects within the Legal Department
- Attend and participate in internal meetings with Best Buy business teams
- Handle special projects as assigned
- Conduct eDiscovery data requests and respond to subpoenas
