Lead Experience Researchers are hands-on, defining complex research strategies and frameworks that set the bar for evaluative research across projects. You will help push the boundaries of what great research looks like, tackling large-scale, ambiguous problems, and shaping the future of experience research within your product areas. Lead Experience Researchers are also mentors—you will guide other researchers in honing their craft, offering precise and actionable feedback, and championing a culture of continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do
- Define and drive the creation and execution of research programs, ensuring rigorous insights that directly inform product decisions and enhance the user experience
- Lead complex, multi-method research initiatives, balancing qualitative and quantitative approaches to uncover actionable insights at scale.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to integrate research findings into strategic decision-making and executions.
- Craft compelling research narratives that translate data into clear, persuasive insights tailored for diverse stakeholders, from designers to executives.
- Champion a customer-centric mindset by leveraging data and business strategy to inform design decisions, ensuring solutions align with user needs and broader enterprise objectives.
- Push the boundaries of excellence by establishing best practices, mentoring others, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- 6 years of experience conducting UX research for digital design organizations or related fields.
- 2 years of experience coaching, mentoring, or leading design other design individuals.
- Deep expertise in conducting evaluative and formative research studies (e.g., unmoderated and unmoderated usability testing, preference testing, cart sorts).
- Expert in survey design (e.g., KANO, Likert scales, sematic differentials, MaxDiff, conjoint) with a strong understanding of sampling, bias mitigation, and instrument validation.
- Skilled in statistical analysis (e.g., t-tests, ANOVA, chi-square, correlation, regression) and a strong understanding of confidence intervals, statistical significance, effect sizes, and how to articulate those clearly.
- Comfortable working with large behavioral and survey-based datasets to complement or triangulate qualitative insights.
- Extensive experience conducting research across mobile and desktop platforms.
- Proven experience managing multiple research projects, navigating ambiguity, and driving strategic impact.
- Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Social Science, Design Research, Psychology, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Experience in eCommerce or large, multi-channel environments.
- Able to collaborate with data science and experimentation teams to formulate and test hypotheses and triangulate data with results from UX research studies.
