We are seeking an experienced and energetic manager in the veterinary, hotel, retail, or restaurant industry to join our management team. This is a hands-on position working with people and pets in a boarding facility/salon.
We are an Employee-owned and operated company that is expanding, which provides many growth opportunities within the company. We currently have over 50 locations in more than twenty states coast-to-coast and have been in business for nearly 30 years.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure an excellent client experience through personal contact, associate training and coaching, resolution of customer concerns and delivery of services.
- Sale and profit improvement.
- Personnel management including recruiting, hiring, training, coaching and counseling, and retention.
- Ensures center compliance with federal and local labor laws.
- Facility maintenance and safety; compliance with laws and regulations
- Schedules staff for work assignments in accordance with policy, allowing ample staff to provide outstanding service while maintaining budget.
- Inventory control and purchasing per company policy and budget guidelines.
- Prepare and analyze statistical and financial data
- Promote Best Friends programs and services internally and in the surrounding communities.
- Supports the Mission and Philosophy of Best Friends Pet Care, Inc. by complying and enforcing policies and procedures.
Education: Bachelor of Science Degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years management experience. Previous experience with animals a plus. Associate Certification in supervisory PAA, ACT, CSR, LCSR, Groom Tech. Physical: Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Must be able to frequently lift 40 pounds. Must be able to be on feet eight hours per day. Must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently. Must be able to work on computer system and work on a multi-line telephone. Must be able to handle dogs on leashes. Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions. Personal: Ability to resolve problems quickly and professionally. Ability to supervise, motivate and counsel employees. Must have strong communication skills. Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Must possess a love of animals. Displays a professional manner at all times.
