What You’ll Do
- Obtain necessary documents from Service Managers and Operations Managers to facilitate the permit application process
- Act as a liaison between the company and each municipality, ensuring all required approvals are obtained for permits
- Prepare and submit applications to various agencies and boards overseeing required permits and approvals
- Review issued plans for accurate revision dates and verify start package accuracy
- Manage the permit submission process, ensuring timely approvals and compliance
- Maintain schedules for all projects and coordinate with municipalities from approval to final permitting stages
- Prepare check requests, collect accounts receivable payments, and process refunds as needed
- Schedule and coordinate inspections, meetings, and appointments
- Maintain company files related to site plan applications, approvals, licenses, permits, and registrations
- Meet with Operations Managers and General Managers, attending meetings on behalf of the company to present projects and request approvals
What You Bring
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of permitting experience required
- Experience with single/multi-family and amenity permitting preferred
- Knowledge of the Construction Industry preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret permitting requirements
- Strong organizational and management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a heavy workload
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent follow-up, communication (written and verbal), and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with simultaneous deadlines
Bonus Skills (Not Required, but Preferred)
- Previous experience working with municipalities
