Douglas Brooke Homes, a leading home builder in SWFL, is seeking a permitting coordinator to support our growing organization. The right candidate for this role will be self-motivated, driven to succeed and demonstrate the ability to take initiative in problem solving. Previous experience in permitting for the construction industry is preferred, but we will train the right candidate!
Responsibilities:
- Communicate professionally and proactively with Trade Partners to obtain documentation.
- Obtain documents including meter locations, boundary surveys, truss layouts, septic designs, energy calculations and plans to submit to various municipalities within a set time frame.
- Maintain relationships with municipality departments and Trade Partners.
- Update construction scheduling software (Buildertrend) with all phases of permitting process.
- Record NOC's and obtain certified copies.
- Send approved plans to printing company and distribute copies.
- Keep Trade Partners updated on permitting process.
- Review plans with management team and engineers.
- Request inspections throughout the build.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Preferred knowledge of residential new construction permitting process and requirements in each municipality.
- High level of organization.
- Working knowledge of Buildertrend, Google documents and Apple products.
- Proven ability to research and resolve problems independently.
Pay: $23-$25 hourly
