What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Visitation Specialist- Part Time position at Best Point Education & Behavioral Health?
- Observes family visitation and interactions. Ensures child safety during family visitations by observing visits and facilitating healthy interactions as needed.
- Engages family and assess their needs for interventions if necessary.
- Shares positive parenting intervention strategies as necessary with parent to support positive, healthy, interactions.
- Intervene as necessary to support child when interactions by
- Documents observations from visits (strengths and concerns) on required form to be submitted to the court.
- Ensures that the family visitation space is set up and cleaned up appropriately.
- Ensures the visit is in accordance with court documents and agency policies and procedures.
Minimum Education, Experience and Other Skill Requirements:
This position requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field from an accredited college or university plus a minimum of one year clinical experience in working with children and families. LSW or LPC strongly preferred.
Must possess minimum technical skills including familiarity with Microsoft Windows and ability to use standard Microsoft Office applications.
PROGRAM HOURS:
Wednesday: 4:00pm-8:30pm
Saturday: 10:30am-3:30pm
*employee hours scheduled based on client referrals
