Role Overview:
Best Roofing is seeking an Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk to support the accounting department by ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and vendor management. This entry-level role requires strong attention to detail and organizational skills to help maintain accurate financial records.
Core Focus:
The AP Clerk will be responsible for invoice processing, vendor payment coordination, credit card reconciliations, and maintaining vendor records. This role is crucial in ensuring timely payments and smooth financial operations within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices, match purchase orders and receipts, and ensure accuracy.
- Assist in weekly check runs and electronic payments.
- Maintain vendor files and profiles, ensuring all records are up to date.
- Reconcile credit card statements and ensure receipts are properly documented.
- Assist with subcontractor payment processing, ensuring compliance with COI requirements.
- Monitor and manage recurring expenses to ensure timely payments.
- Support month-end closing with data entry and reporting assistance.
- Convert paper records to digital files and maintain proper documentation.
- Assist in audits and financial reporting tasks as needed.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
