Sterilization Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our dental practice. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all dental instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained to meet health and safety standards. You will play a crucial part in supporting our dental team and ensuring a safe environment for both patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization of dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with infection control procedures and safety regulations.
• Assist in the organization and inventory of dental supplies.
• Support the dental team by preparing treatment areas and ensuring all necessary tools are available.
• Conduct routine inspections of sterilization equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Collaborate with dental staff to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, or general dentistry is preferred.
• Familiarity with Open Dental software is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical records management and medical documentation practices.
• Experience with X-Ray procedures and 3D scanning technology is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• Certification in dental assisting or related field is desirable but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
