What are the responsibilities and job description for the House Person / Public Area Attendant position at Best Western Plus ClockTower Inn?
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a House Person. This role involves promoting a positive image of the property to guests, shuttling guests, and addressing guest requests and problems.
Responsibilities:
- Service guest laundry room and fitness room, including bathrooms, daily.
- Maintain building exterior.
- Shampoo rooms every 30 days, including touching up furniture with approved products and servicing predetermined items such as glass shower doors and cleaning under beds.
- Clean rooms, hallways, and restrooms.
- Maintain restaurant exterior.
- Vacuum and shampoo public area carpets.
- Empty ashtrays and garbage cans.
- Polish public area furniture and fixtures.
- Vacuum and polish elevators.
- Keep the hotel free from trash.
- Clean rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom, and shampoo machine.
- Wash walls and ceilings, move and arrange furniture, including pool furniture.
- Follow departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain all equipment used, such as vacuum cleaners, trolleys, and scrubbing machines.
- Transport guests to and from pre-determined locations in guest shuttle.
Requirements:
- Ensure security of guest room access and hotel property.
- Read and understand test equipment, measuring devices, and safety manuals.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening including Marijana.
- Pass a background check.
- Clean driving record over the past 7 years.
- Physically demanding work that includes using tools and equipment and moving around much of the day or night, including having to climb ladders, lift heavy items as much as 75lbs or more and crawl in tight spaces when necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
