OVERVIEW:
Under direct or indirect supervision, the C&I Technician will install, maintain, integrate, commission, call test and repair Radio Access Nodes and/or Core Network Transmission equipment on operational telecommunications networks. The technician is responsible for verification of the hardware configuration, activation and testing of equipment. Interacts with other technicians and client’s technical staff. Coordinate and complete final inspection and provide full report/closeouts documents. Ensure a safe working environment are in accordance with OSHA standards; work with local management and staff to identify and correct unsafe conditions. They may work alone or with a crew.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Various C&I activities, including, but not limited to: Performing pre-commission, commissioning, integration, and upgrades to cell site equipment (Ericsson, Samsung, Alcatel Lucent and Nokia Equipment).
- Observes Betacom safety policies and procedures as related to job safety, equipment safety and personnel protective equipment (PPE).
- Performs preoperational safety checks on equipment and vehicles prior to use, maintain all tools, equipment and vehicles in proper working condition.
- Completes timesheets and mileage reports. Reviews timesheets for accuracy and completeness.
- Performing of software installations and ensuring the correct configurations are loaded into the equipment.
- Performs testing and ensures cell site is connected to the network and integrated to become a functional part of client’s network.
- Perform alarm clearing, call testing, fiber and sweep testing, as required.
- Perform final punch and closeout/on air readiness documentation.
- Maintains clean worksite and professional attitude and demeanor as a representative of Betacom Incorporated.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook).
- Knowledge in Ericsson and/or Nokia Commissioning and Integration.
- Self-motivated, problem solver.
- Ability to learn quickly and react accordingly for success.
- Ability to lift over 70 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form (English).
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekend as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-2 years Ericsson and/or Nokia Commissioning and Integrating experience.
- Experience in Integrating and Troubleshoot all components of Wireless and Fixed network.
- Good communication skills, reading and writing skills (English)
- OSHA safety courses
- Clean Driving Record & Valid Driver's License (a must) and reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must be able to accommodate out of town travel and/or extensive travel, if required.
- Conduct work assignments, communicate, dress and assist clients in a professional manner.
