Position Overview of the Senior Project Manager:
As Senior Project Manager, you will have responsibility for delivering large strategic and client-driven software development projects. The role will interact with all levels of the organization to help define, scope, and manage the health of projects. There may be opportunities to work in both Agile and Waterfall environments and may include the role of a Scrum Master. This is a hybrid position based out of either our NYC or Brookfield, WI office and requires being in the office at least 2 days per week.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager:
- Manage one or more projects that relate to critical business goals for the global business partners.
- Develop and track to detailed project plans for waterfall/agile teams; Collaborate with Product Owners/Managers and other stakeholders.
- Develop and track resource plans, communication plans, risk mitigation plans and issue resolution plans.
- Monitor and resolve issues across multiple business and client work streams involved in the project.
- Proactively identify and provide mitigation plans for any potential risks to the project’s overall success.
- Develop a professional rapport with the internal and client project teams and maintain an excellent level of client satisfaction.
- Possess excellent verbal and presentation skills. Report status of the project(s) using various MS office tools to present the appropriate level of detail based on the target audience.
- Possess a solid understanding of Smartsheet and JIRA or similar enterprise tools.
- Strong understanding of Agile Frameworks-Scrum/Kanban and experience leading change within team with Agile.
- Facilitate various scrum events (e.g., daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning meetings, sprint review meetings, sprint retrospective meetings), if needed.
- May act as main point of contact with the client regarding results, change requests, and sign-off on status and requirements.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, including professional organizations.
Skills and Experience of the Senior Project Manager:
- 5 years of Project Management/Planning experience.
- Proven experience in Software Development Life Cycle(s) with either Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Must have excellent analytical problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates strong leadership skills.
- Great teammate with an ambitious, collaborative spirit.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Project or similar Project Management tools.
- Strong organization, interpersonal, & communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and adapt to different roles in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience building successful client relationships or internal team relationships.
- BS/BA degree, or equivalent experience
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) preferred and/or similar work experience
- PMP certification a plus
- Data Analytics or Business Intelligence Knowledge a plus
Compensation:
Competitive pay package with a minimum salary for $100,000 plus a generous benefits and PTO offering
