Job Summary:
The Clinical Nurse Leader will be responsible for the safe and efficient flow of our surgical patients from the preoperative and recovery phases through discharge or placement.
This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, and requires a minimum of three years' experience in the recovery room, with one year of supervisory experience preferred.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with the anesthesia floor leader, nursing supervisor, and OR nursing clinical leader.
Key responsibilities include supervising, guiding, and mentoring PACU staff; coordinating daily activity; working collaboratively with other departments; and resolving conflicts or problems that may develop.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, Guide, and Mentor PACU Staff: Supervise, guide, and mentor PACU staff to carry out their responsibilities in the management of our surgical patients.
- Coordinate Daily Activity: Coordinate the daily activity of nursing personnel by utilizing effective communication, emotional intelligence, and leadership skills with all interactions.
- Collaborate with Other Departments: Work collaboratively with the anesthesia floor leader, nursing supervisor, and OR nursing clinical leader for daily OR efficiency and throughput.
- Resolve Conflicts and Problems: Resolve conflicts or problems that may develop or refer to the surgical services leadership team on duty as appropriate.
This position requires a BSN degree, BLS, ACLS certification, and experience using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
