About You:
- You possess a BSN degree and are certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association.
- Your extensive experience in the recovery room includes at least three years of direct patient care, with one year of supervisory experience preferred.
- You have excellent leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and emotional intelligence.
- You're proficient in using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software.
Responsibilities:
The Nursing Clinical Leader will be responsible for coordinating the daily activity of nursing personnel, utilizing effective communication, emotional intelligence, and leadership skills with all interactions.
This position requires close collaboration with the anesthesia floor leader, nursing supervisor, and OR nursing clinical leader to ensure seamless OR efficiency and throughput.
Key performance indicators for the PACU include on-time first starts, turnaround time, and patient throughput.
This role involves analyzing staffing requirements, assigning personnel, calling in replacement staff, or authorizing overtime as needed.
Additionally, the successful candidate will participate in hiring and onboarding of new OR nursing personnel, initiate and lead daily board huddles, and assess weekly schedules.
They will also provide support for monitoring competency requirements and license needs of staff.
The ideal candidate should be able to work collaboratively with the Surgical services educator to identify educational needs and develop in-services.
