The Healthcare Technology Management Project Specialist is responsible for supporting and advancing patient care by applying engineering skills to healthcare technology within BILH. The primary responsibility is to provide vendor oversight and ensure medical equipment service vendors meet the quality and performance expectations of the organization. The HTM Project Specialist will also provide technical assistance for diagnostic imaging equipment across BILH as needed and assist in ensuring the implementation of system wide initiatives across BILH. This position will also assist with service contract management activities and may be responsible for other duties as assigned. The position reports to the Director of Vendor Management but also closely supports all of BILH Healthcare Technology Management and Clinical Engineering leadershipJob Description:
Oversee vendor provided maintenance services for all medical equipment across BILH - Work with operational leaders to determine appropriate scope of vendor services versus in-house support across all modalities - Review service options for major clinical systems with clinical owners to determine the optimum service plan - Ensure contractual language is appropriate and accurate to operations and developing service level agreements with vendors consistent with standards and the needs of the organization - Work with BILH accounting and operational leadership to ensure vendors are paid appropriately - Monitor performance of vendors by reviewing KPI’s, previous work completion data, future scheduled work assignments, quality assurance issues, and any other projects or equipment support needs - Manage medical equipment vendor relations including procurement, warranty, and service agreements serving as key vendor liaison to ensure clinical stakeholder satisfaction. - Assists in Capital and Operating Budget requests to Corporate Finance and Budgeting - Assists with medical equipment risk management by following up on equipment recalls notices and ECRI alerts.
Bachelors degree in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering required. Master’s degree in Biomedical or Clinical Engineering recommended
CCE, CHTM, and/or PMP recommended
3-5 Years related work experience required
