Description
SUMMARY:
CUA Admissions Specialist is responsible for providing administrative support to the CUA Admissions team of the Community Umbrella Agency. The CUA Admissions Specialist reports directly to the CUA Admissions Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Provide administrative support to the CUA Admissions team.
- Serve as liaison with Philadelphia DHS’ Central Referral Unit (CRU) around CUA referrals and placement needs.
- Serve as liaison with Placement Provider Agencies to coordinate placements for children/youth in Bethanna’s CUA regions.
- Be familiar with and follow DHS CUA Practice Guidelines as well as any published changes and additions to same.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or Associate's Degree. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, preferably in the field of Social Work or a related field. Experience in child welfare, casework, or childcare is beneficial. Experience working with children and families is preferred.
- Three years administrative experience.
- Strong professional communication skills with ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, in English.
- Strong organizational skills. Detail oriented.
- Valid, timely Child Abuse, Criminal History, and FBI clearances that meet all regulatory requirements.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with collaterals and providers.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Ability to learn and effectively operate other software packages as needed and required.
