The Facilities and Maintenance Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing maintenance efforts. This individual is also responsible for managing the maintenance activities for the upkeep of buildings, landscaping, vehicles, and office moves. This position will oversee a range of custodial and maintenance activities, while resolving problems as they arise whether directly or by assembling teams to solve those issues. This position will work closely with the Hospitality Director for coordination of events. The Facilities and Maintenance Manager will serve as a vocational trainer for participating youth who shall provide hands on support for assigned activities under the supervision of this position.
This position is expected to function effectively with little supervision while following the guidelines given on procedures, along with agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements.

Essential Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the maintenance of the building, grounds and parking lot;
- Perform maintenance and repair on building;
- Lead project management activities including project design, renovation planning and build;
- Manage building repair and maintenance vendor relationships;
- Responsible for utilities and waste/recycling contract review and management
- Coordinate equipment service scheduling on freezer, refrigerator, vehicles, etc.;
- Manage energy consumption sustainability, efficiency and program cost allocation;
- Responsible for business continuity, emergency management plans, and establishing internal safety protocols;
- Responsible for building security including EPS systems management;
- Manage and coordinate logistics of events and meeting set-up;
- Provide support for facilities cleaning staff;
- Manage and inventory stored in kind donations and all facility assets;
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent;
- At least three (3) years of experience with facility maintenance and management;
- At least one (1) year of experience supervising others, strongly preferred;
- Mature and stable judgment, with sensitivity to the various needs of people;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand complex electrical, mechanical, and automation systems;
- Demonstrated knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems;
- Demonstrated strong leadership and interpersonal skills;
- Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite;
- Must be 21 years old with a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany. Must also pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate insurance coverage;
- Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries;
- Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Commitment to Unity.
