Qualifications:

• Must be an LPN licensed in the state of Iowa in good standing with no record of abuse.

Job Duties:

• LPN provides direct nursing care to the residents and supervises the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. Such supervision must be in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern Bethany Lutheran Home and as may be required by the Director of Nursing or Nurse Supervisor to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
• LPN must be able to direct and supervise nursing care and maintain professional relationships with staff, residents, and families.
• LPN must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
• Must be CPR certified.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day.
• Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a minimum of 3ft.
• Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents in an emergency situation.
• Must be able to kneel, stoop or bend to assist residents.
• Wear back support and utilize a gait belt appropriately.
