Join the Bethany Team!The Physical Education Teacher provides an instructional program that will engage students insports competitions and other physical activities, stressing the importance of maintaining ahealthy way of life through both exercise and positive lifestyle choices.Salary Range: $55,144 to $95,335 per current Bethany Education Association ContractBenefits: Comprehensive Health and Welfare Benefits per the current Bethany EducationAssociation Contract.Minimum Requirements: Valid Connecticut State Department of Education Certification in PhysicalEducation (044, 201) is required and Health (043, 072, 201) is preferred.Experience in providing physical education and health instruction in an elementary settingis preferred.Experience with developmentally appropriate, inquiry-based teaching and learning.Experience with the Data Team process is preferred.Experience with Scientific Research-Based Intervention (SRBI) is preferred.Certification in Physical Management Training (PMT) is preferred.Strong organizational, recordkeeping, interpersonal, verbal, and writtencommunication skills.Must possess good judgment in the supervision of, management of, andcommunication with students.The Bethany Community School is an elementary school (grades PK to 6) located in centralBethany on an extensive rural campus. The school offers a supportive leadership team and staffand extensive instructional resources.
