What are the responsibilities and job description for the PM Dinning Supervisor position at Bethany St. Joseph Corporation?
The Onalaska Care Center is hiring for a full-time Dining Supervisor for the PM shift. This position reports to the Dietary Manager and is responsible for overseeing the Dietary Department when the Dietary Manager is not present. This position also works shifts as a Dietary Aide.
Primary responsibilities:
- Oversee daily Dietary assignments, to ensure economical and timely food preparation and cleanup.
- Enforce policies concerning employees.
- Work on the floor as scheduled and when there are call-ins.
- Achieve the best possible service for our residents.
- Oversee production of meals and snacks, monitoring for food safety, palatability, eye appeal, diet accuracy, and record-keeping.
- Ensure timeliness of meal and snack service.
- Take joint responsibility Dietary Manager for sanitation of kitchen, enforcing a high standard of cleanliness.
- Maintain order and cleanliness of all storage areas, checking daily to assure quality of food and reduce food waste.
- Gather data from new residents to assist RDs in nutritional assessments.
- Implement diet changes and new diets ordered, in RD’s absence.
Preferred experience in menu planning, purchasing procedures, and food service management. Must be knowledgeable on quantity food service and be able to instruct others. Must know how to operate all Dietary equipment. Must have your CDM or be willing to obtain.
