What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physics and Engineering Adjunct Faculty position at Bethel University?
Job Summary
Teach course(s) in Engineering and/or Physics in keeping with candidate’s specialization and departmental need
Responsibilities
- Teach (and possibly design) Engineering/Physics course(s) and/or labs on an assigned topic, with support from the department
- For courses, draw up a syllabus and maintain a course Moodle page
- For labs associated with courses taught by other faculty, manuals, equipment, and supplies will be provided by the department
- Teach the course or lab in person, grade assignments and tests, and support students as needed to promote their learning
- Contribute to an academic environment that actively seeks to increase inclusive excellence in the department and in the discipline
Skills
- Ability and interest in teaching undergraduate students in a face-to-face environment
- Ability to explain complex concepts in Engineering or Physics
Experience
College teaching experience preferred
Education
Master’s degree in Engineering or Physics required; PhD preferred
