We are adding to our team and have an opening for a full time REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF HEALTH SERVICES overseeing the greater Missouri region and NE.
THIS POSITION IS BASED IN AND WORKS OUT OF MISSOURI and NEBRASKA.
The Regional Director of Health Services is responsible to oversee, direct, and review all health services aspects of resident care for all assisted living and memory care communities assigned to them. Position requires some overnight air and automobile travel (approximately 50%). :

Essential Functions
- Assists the VP of Health Services in developing, coordinating and implementing standardized corporate policies and procedures for nursing program/resident care.
- Assists the VP of Health Services in developing, implementing, and monitoring a Health services Quality Assurance Program for all communities.
- Oversees the risk management component of the nursing program in their assigned communities.
- Assists with implementing nursing software integrating billing and acuity.
- Serves as a company resource for daily health services operational issues.
- Implements and monitors the medication administration systems throughout all their assigned communities, following individual state regulations and Bethesda policies.
- Provides training programs as needed for health services staff.
- Interviews and makes recommendations to the Executive Directors in the hiring and performance appraisal processes of health services directors in all assigned communities.
- Provides individual orientation to all new Health Services Directors for their assigned communities.
- Monitors the orientation program for all health services staff in their assigned communities.
- Provides monthly and quarterly reports, and other reports as requested, to the VP of Health Services, VP of Operations, and President.
Managerial Breadth/Scope of Job
There are no direct managerial duties for this position. Position indirectly manages all health services management and staff in assigned communities.
Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Must possess excellent knowledge of nursing standards and possess strong nursing skills.
- Must possess solid management skills.
- Must have expert knowledge of Quality Assurance processes and plans.
- Must have solid knowledge of risk management processes.
- Must have excellent experience in the development of health services policies and procedures.
- Must be computer literate and have the ability to use health services software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be able to develop complex ideas in new and undefined areas that impact the health services processes of the company.
- Must possess the skills to assess health services components and develop a standardized system.
- Must be knowledgeable of multi-state health services requirements.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Must be a team player that is able to lead others in team development.
Education/Experience
An active registered nurse license is required. A minimum of 5 years nurse management experience and a minimum of 5 years assisted living experience.
Working Environment/Physical Requirements
Work is generally in a normal office environment. Position requires some overnight air and automobile travel (more than 50%). Moderate physical activity is required to handle objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.
