Job Title : Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) - Hospital Medicine
Job Summary : Working under the supervision of the staff physician, this role is responsible for the primary and urgent medical management of patients, including the emergency stabilization of critically ill patients. Additional responsibilities include patient education, discharge planning, and coordination of care.

Qualifications :
Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
Education :
- NP : Master’s or Doctorate degree in Advanced Practice Registered Nursing.
- PA : Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Medicine or Health Sciences, or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Training Program.
Experience :
Preferred : 1-2 years of relevant experience in a similar healthcare setting.Certifications :
Nurse Practitioner :Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AACN or ANCC).Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (American Heart Association).Eligible for Prescriptive Authority in the state as determined by the State Board of Nursing.Physician Assistant :Current license as a Physician Assistant in the practicing state.National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification.BCLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association).Eligible for Prescriptive Authority as outlined by the State Board of Medical Examiners.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) :
Proficient computer skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work flexible hours (weekends, holidays, on-call as needed).Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams.Job Responsibilities :
Apply the approved medical practices process for patient care delivery.Provide age-appropriate care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs.Educate patients, families, and healthcare professionals.Assess patient health and fulfill medical needs accordingly.Prescribe and administer medications as appropriate.Report any patient care issues to supervising physicians.Review and interpret patient medical histories, identifying abnormal conditions.Monitor patient progress and maintain thorough records of treatments, surgeries, or other medical interventions.Attend to medical emergencies and provide timely care.Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine clinical procedures (e.g., measuring vitals, administering injections).Provide therapeutic treatments, including wound care and suturing.Foster a compassionate and trusting environment for patients.Adhere strictly to medical regulations and safety standards.Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members.Skills :
Proven experience as an NP or PA.Knowledge of medical guidelines and procedures for patient examination and treatment.Familiarity with current medical technology and procedures.Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.Compassionate, patient-centered approach.Effective team player with strong communication skills.Job Type : Full-time
