Job Summary
Better Being is looking for a Software Development Support Engineer to support the following areas: Computer Software troubleshooting & problem solving, customer support, technical documentation, collaboration, system monitoring, and developing automation scripts.
Essential Functions
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues, escalating complex problems to development teams, and conducting root cause analysis for recurring issues.
- Providing timely and effective solutions to customer inquiries, maintaining clear communication, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Creating and maintaining knowledge base articles, user guides, and technical documentation for software applications.
- Working closely with development, management, and IT teams to improve software quality and address user needs.
- Monitoring system performance, identifying potential issues, and implementing preventative measures.
- Creating scripts to automate system verification, software testing, or other tasks to enhance support efficiency.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs, and activities. Maintenance of a clean and orderly work area
Job Qualifications
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS), Science (AS), Technical Studies (ATS), Technical Arts (ATA), Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Years of Experience: 2-4 years of experience.
- Technical Skills: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), proficiency in at least one programming language preferred but not required, knowledge of database technologies (e.g., SQL) and API integrations, experience with debugging tools and system monitoring software, familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, Zendesk), knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) can be a plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, customer-centric mindset with a focus on service excellence, ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear and occasionally stand or walk.
- The employee may exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity, far acuity, depth perception, accommodation, color vision, and field of vision.
