Director of Surgical Services
Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Surgical Services to lead a high-performing Operating Room (OR) team. This role oversees approximately 50 FTEs, including RNs, CSTs, Anesthesia Techs, CNAs, and Clerical staff, in a state-of-the-art facility featuring 7 operating suites equipped with advanced surgical technologies, including robotic-assisted systems. Surgical specialties include general surgery, neurology, orthopedics, obstetrics, gynecology, ENT, podiatry, and more.
Primary Responsibilities
- Leadership & Operations:
- Plan, direct, and evaluate department activities to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care.
- Oversee staff recruitment, training, and development to maintain top performance.
- Promote a positive and collaborative team culture.
- Clinical Excellence:
- Ensure compliance with evidence-based practices, safety standards, and quality initiatives.
- Regularly evaluate patient care, staff performance, and department policies.
- Coordinate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and supplies.
- Regulatory & Administrative Oversight:
- Maintain compliance with accrediting agencies and regulatory standards.
- Prepare departmental reports, lead monthly team meetings, and participate in hospital committees.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain Management on inventory and equipment needs.
- Patient-Centered Care:
- Foster relationships with staff, physicians, and other departments to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Address patient safety, satisfaction, and operational efficiencies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field required; Master’s preferred.
- Licensure: Active RN license.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in perioperative services.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of OR operations, staff management, and regulatory compliance.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $117,099.00 - $172,914.00 per year
