Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients in their homes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients, particularly seniors, while respecting their rights and dignity. This role requires a blend of clinical skills, empathy, and the ability to work independently in a home setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure health stability.
• Administer medications as prescribed and observe patients for any side effects or reactions.
• Provide long-term care support, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
• Assist with mobility and physical activities, ensuring safety while lifting or transferring patients.
• Maintain accurate records of patient care, observations, and changes in condition.
• Advocate for resident rights and ensure that patients are treated with respect and dignity.
• Collaborate with family members and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans.

Skills

• Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in health status promptly.
• Proficient in medication administration with a solid understanding of pharmacology.
• Experience in long-term care settings, particularly with senior care populations.
• Ability to assist patients effectively while ensuring their comfort and safety during lifting or transferring tasks.
• Knowledge of meal preparation that accommodates various dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
