Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregivers to provide high-quality care to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various medical settings, including Level I Trauma Centers, outpatient care, and geriatrics. This role is essential in supporting our clients' daily living activities while ensuring their safety and well-being in a comfortable environment.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including accompanying clients to appointments or outings.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all areas are tidy and free from hazards.
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client progress.
- Follow care plans developed by healthcare providers, adapting as necessary based on client needs.
Skills
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and practices related to emergency medicine, hospital medicine, and geriatrics.
- Experience working in various healthcare settings such as teaching hospitals, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), OR (Operating Room), and medical-surgical units is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in following care plans and documenting services provided.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care tailored to individual client needs.
