We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Your responsibilities will include managing cash registers, assisting with sales, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their inquiries.
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Process sales through the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently.
- Maintain knowledge of store products to assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions.
- Stock shelves and ensure merchandise is organized and displayed attractively.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking as needed.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
- Uphold store policies regarding cash handling and security measures.
- Assist in supervising junior staff members when required.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in cash handling and operating cash registers is essential.
- Familiarity with basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Strong phone etiquette to assist customers over the phone when necessary.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be at least 21.
