What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at Betts Restaurant?
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Escort guests to their tables and provide them with menus
- Assist in seating guests during peak dining hours
- Answer phone calls and take reservations
- Provide information about the restaurant, menu items, and daily specials
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely service
- Maintain a clean and organized host/host station
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate as necessary
- Assist in coordinating special events or private parties
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a host/host or in a customer service role is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems and phone etiquette is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Knowledge of food service and guest relations principles
- Ability to work well within a team
