POSITION SUMMARY: The HSE Coordinator ensures a safe, healthy work environment and maintains environmental ordinances. To achieve this, an HSE Coordinator must perform inspections to assess the risks that may threaten workers' safety and health while on the job. They will also need to recommend and support company safety controls and safety programs that reduce accident/incident frequency and reduce other losses while embracing the safety philosophy and culture.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may.")
- Evaluate hazards on location for safety, health, and environmental risks.
- Strategically organize the day to complete administrative obligations and to have a presence during field operations.
- Supports crew in all efforts to safely perform their jobs by ensuring we are approaching safety through engineering, administration, and using personal protective equipment as a last line of defense.
- Develops health and safety procedures and programs for all departments and monitors safety compliance to reduce risks.
- Maintains contingency plans, including fire prevention, procedures for controlling hazardous spills in accordance with government regulation, insurance company requirements, and emergency action plans.
- Supervises maintenance of material safety data sheets, which are always accessible according to regulations.
- Develops inspection policies and establishes regular inspection schedules.
- Monitor leading indicators through reporting system to build trends for proactive safety engagement.
- To maintain EPA records of hazardous waste, air emission permitting, and water pollution discharge, as well as industrial health monitoring and records of employee hazard exposure according to OSHA regulations.
- Monitors professional literature and attends seminars to stay current with governmental compliance requirements.
- Effectively communicate and work with leadership on location and customer personnel. Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Successfully passes background check, pre-employment drug screening, any pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
- Proficiency in spoken English language
- Position requires in-person, predictable attendance.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL
- High School Diploma or GED required – Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
- One to three years of experience as a HSE Coordinator/Specialists
- Excellent skills in written and oral communication
- Basic computer skills with both word processing and database applications
- Ability to drive and inspect both outdoor and indoor areas to observe compliance with established programs.
- Oil and Gas Experience or knowledge
- Root Cause Analysis Training (TapRoot, Five Whys, Fault Tree Analysis, etc.)
- Accident Investigation Training

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HSE role within the oil & gas, industrial, or manufacturing sectors.
- Experience conducting safety training, audits, and inspections to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- OSHA 30-hour or OSHA 500 certification preferred.
- H2S, First Aid/CPR, and other industry-required safety certifications are a plus.
- Ability to attend and successfully complete required annual safety and recertification training.
- Strong knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.
- Experience with safety management systems and compliance tracking software preferred.
- Ability to interpret and apply safety policies, regulations, and industry best practices.

- Ability to respond to safety concerns, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.

Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and adjusting focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The HSE Coordinator may be required to lift heavy objects; therefore, The HSE Coordinator must be able to lift 49lb.s and be able to lift 50-100lbs with a team lift. Work is local to the Permian Basin, the schedule is Monday through Friday on call on weekends. The HSE Coordinator must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (As required).

Work hours may include early morning, late afternoon/evening hours, and weekends in combination depending on job demands.
