WAREHOUSE SPECIALIST
JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Status: Full Time
FLSA Status: Salary Non-Exempt
Reports To: Supply Chain Manager/Warehouse Site Manager
Location: Midland, Texas
Amount of Travel Required: 5-10%
Work Schedule: Mon Fri. (6 a.m.-6 p.m. and weekends as needed)
Positions Supervised: None
POSITION SUMMARY: This position leads the local efforts of the Warehouse and Inventory requirements with support and direction from the Supply Chain Manager and/or Warehouse Site Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "May.")
- Attends all scheduled and ad hoc departmental meetings pertaining to warehouse and inventory management.
- Ensures daily JSA debriefing and daily equipment inspections are completed with all warehouse employees and additional onsite members.
- Promptly reports to SCM and/or Regional Safety Manager of equipment inspection findings to include shortages, damages, deficiencies, etc.
- Completes daily checklists for warehouse housekeeping, safety conditions, and departmental administrative tasks and responsibilities.
- Trains all new warehouse/inventory personnel on departmental policies and procedures.
- Holds warehouse employees accountable for adherence to workplace and organizational policies and guidelines.
- Regularly provides performance feedback to warehouse personnel, coaching and assisting them in departmental expectations and goals.
- In coordination with Supply Chain Manager, schedules weekend/overtime coverage of warehouse personnel.
- Frequently audits all outgoing shipments to ensure materials are properly packaged, secured, labeled, and include all required shipping documents.
- Checks all incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders, promptly reporting any inaccuracies to the appropriate buyer.
- Completes scheduled cycle counts efficiently, with any variances promptly reported to Supply Chain Manager.
- Ensures proper storage of all materials in warehouse, ensuring accurate labeling and usage of correct bin locations.
- Ensures efficient delivery of materials to designated internal departments.
- Ensures accurate documentation of outgoing materials, utilizing organizations pre-established processes and procedures.
- Takes the lead in maintaining adherence to organizational HSE requirements and policies, coaching and correcting warehouse personnel on any deficiencies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Successfully passes background check and preemployment drug screening.
- Possesses a valid U.S. Drivers License.
- Daily, predictable attendance.
- On-call availability required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL
- High School diploma or GED and
- 3-5 years warehouse management experience

- Demonstrated ability to manage and improve supply chain data, information, and processes.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Will need to communicate with vendors and field personnel regularly and effectively.
- Strong conflict-resolution skills, including successful problem-solving and collaboration skills.
- Advanced knowledge and comprehension of the supply chain process.
- Fundamental proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Outlook.
- Advanced Problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.

The Warehouse Specialist primarily works in a warehouse/shop environment that makes them susceptible to common hazards such as physical strain, moving machinery, loading, unloading, falling objects, slips, trips, and falls. Daily required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach and squat/kneel. They will also need to speak clearly and audibly, as well as have the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and /or other sounds (e.g., building alarms) deriving from in person speech, telephone, or other remote speech. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organizations facilities. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk, stoop, kneel, sit, climb, crouch and/or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds with a team lift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work hours may include early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on business necessity.
