The Senior Cloud and Infrastructure Lead will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and overseeing the firm’s cloud and infrastructure operations. This role focuses on strategic leadership in transitioning from on-premises systems to a "Cloud or SaaS-first" approach, enhancing performance, security, and cost efficiency across all platforms. While not a managerial role, this position requires leadership in guiding strategy, mentoring team members, and driving key initiatives to ensure compliance with legal industry standards and best practices.
Cloud Strategy and Design :
- Develop and execute a strategic cloud roadmap that aligns with the firm's business objectives and IT strategy.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate core legal applications such as iManage, Intapp, and Elite 3E into the cloud ecosystem.
- Lead the adoption of scalable, secure, and cost-effective SaaS / IaaS solutions.
Infrastructure Management and Optimization :
Oversee day-to-day operations of cloud environments, including Microsoft Azure and VMware.Optimize resource utilization and manage cost efficiency for cloud services.Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks using tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.Monitor system health and performance, proactively addressing issues to ensure maximum uptime.Data Protection and Security :
Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain robust Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategies.Manage compliance with ISO 27001 and client confidentiality standards.Monitor for and address security anomalies, ensuring a secure cloud environment.Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity :
Architect and oversee advanced disaster recovery solutions, including automated recovery and real-time failover.Test and validate disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and operational resilience.Leadership and Mentorship :
Provide mentorship to IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.Lead cross-functional teams in major IT initiatives, including cloud migrations and security implementations.Contribute to the professional development of junior team members by sharing expertise and guidance.Vendor and Stakeholder Management :
Manage relationships with cloud and infrastructure vendors to ensure SLAs and performance standards are met.Evaluate and recommend new services and technologies to enhance the firm’s IT capabilities.Emerging Technologies and Trends :
Stay abreast of advancements in cloud technologies and legal industry tools, incorporating relevant innovations into the firm’s infrastructure.Requirements :
Strong knowledge of switching, routing, and firewall technologies, including experience with IPS (Intrusion Prevention Systems) and IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), critical for supporting Cato Networks.Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting and experience with API integrations.Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.8 years of experience in cloud and infrastructure management, with a focus on enterprise-level operations.Expertise in Microsoft Azure, VMware ESXi, and Pure Storage.Proficiency with automation tools and scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python.Demonstrated experience with ISO 27001 compliance, ZTNA, and DLP frameworks.Strong understanding of legal-specific applications and workflows.Preferred Qualifications :
Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert).Experience managing SASE solutions like Cato Networks.Familiarity with legal industry compliance and applications such as iManage, IntApp, and Elite 3E.
