Under general supervision, is responsible for conducting the referral intake process, researching criminal background and treatment histories, requesting screenings, coordinating with collaborating agencies, attorneys, courts and outside agencies as required; and performs related duties as required.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Completes Court eligibility referral forms received from the appellate public defenders, jail staff, courts, attorneys, Pretrial Services and the community Researches current charge and criminal history in coordination with Pretrial Services (TCIC/NCIC) so that eligibility for the Court can be determined by the Court Manager Contacts attorneys and obtains the necessary releases and authorization to proceed with Court screening, fax attorney permission and follow-ups as needed Coordinates with attorneys and agencies to schedule screening appointments and/or obtains confirmation of treatment diagnosis to proceed with screening for Court Program Requests medical documentation from service providers, hospitals, schools; updates medical records and information throughout the defendant's participation in the program Initiates court transfers for eligible defendants of the Court Program and monitors the status of transfer to the Court docket Participates at the court docket and ensures sensitive collateral information is complete and filed appropriate in the court file Responsible for updating and maintaining referral log Performs related duties as required
