Description
We are seeking an IT Helpdesk Technician to provide exceptional IT support across BBB’s offices in New York, Washington, DC, Miami, and Boston. This individual will work closely with the IT System Administrator and the Director of Information Systems to manage daily IT operations, troubleshoot issues, and assist in developing and implementing our information technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate should be able to adapt quickly, think creatively, and collaborate effectively within a team to support both on-site and remote staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provide IT support to a staff of 170 across multiple offices and remote locations.
- Assist with improving IT processes, infrastructure, and user experience.
- Respond to user issues with hardware and software via phone, email, and on-site.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement new technologies and optimize systems.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain software and hardware for end users.
- Create and maintain documentation for IT systems and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining security and compliance standards, including VPN, file access permissions and password policies.
- Work on projects such as system migrations, upgrades, and new tool rollouts.
- Set up and troubleshoot AV systems for office meetings.
- Assist in troubleshooting technical issues related to Office 365, Windows Servers, and network configurations.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- 1-3 years of IT support experience in a helpdesk or similar role, experience working within Architecture, Engineering, or Construction is preferred.
- Proficiency in Windows environments, including Windows 10/11, and AD/DC.
- Proficiency in Office 365 administration and tools (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (VLANs, VPNs, DNS, and DHCP).
- Experience using IT ticketing systems such as Freshworks, ServiceNow, or Zendesk.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, and
- mobile devices.
- Customer-focused with the ability to engage positively in active listening and foster collaboration.
- Relevant certifications (Network , Security , Azure, Office 365) are a plus.
Additional Considerations:
- Familiarity with Windows Server administration and advanced troubleshooting.
- Experience with networking, including configuring switches, firewalls, and VLANs.
- Knowledge of scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell.
- Experience implementing system automation and workflow improvements.
- Exposure to AEC environments or specific software – Panzura, Nasuni, Egnyte File System Platforms, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or Revit)
Compensation
BBB offers fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $65,000 - $75,000, with variations depending on experience, education, achievements, and business needs. Employees may also receive an annual performance-based bonus and salary increase.
